Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Porsche 911 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual
Car had been turning over slowly as though the battery was getting weak and required a charge boost to start. After driving for some distance the battery was still barely charged and the car barely turned over to start. I did not attempt to start the car again for a few months and when I did try it was completely dead. After 24 hours on the charger it would still not turn over. My prognosis - a bad battery though it was only two years old.
After placing a brand new battery in the car I tried to start it up and nothing happened. It did not crank at all - just gave an electrical buzz or groan. The car has only 28,000 miles so I can't believe it would be a starter or relay issue - especially since it previously showed symptoms of a battery problem.
I'm not a mechanical expert so please provide any answers/comments in layman's terms.
