Found your comment that solenoid is most likely to blame when starter will not work when engine is hot. I see that insulating it is a solution. My QUESTION: Is solenoid going bad and insulation is temporary fix? Or is insulation a relatively permanant solution? I'm trying to decide whether I can insulate it and forget it! Or go for a new solenoid immediately.
