Hello, my car is a 930 3.3 turbo 1985.
When I turn the key off and remove it compleately, the engine will remain on at idle speed. I can accellerate it , if I push the gas pedal.
If I turn off the engine using the gear, the dashboard light will remain on, as if the key was inserted and turned on. The only way to turn off the dashboard light is to disengage the battery.
If with everything off, I turn the ignition key on, (but before starter engagement), the dashboard will turn on. Then, if I disengage the key the dashboard will remain on until I disengage battery.
So by resetting the battery cable , the dashboard will turn off.
Is it the ignition key? the alternator? the regularor?
Note, the headlights will go from normal to low (PARK?) when I turn off the ignition switch.
This makes me think that the swiitch works.
HELP?
Thanks
