popping noise in front end randomly

have a pro check the front end , might be ball joints or the plate on top of strut quit replacing parts and costing you money for good parts that don't need to be replaced. see pic this is a tsb and really they use a sound meter hooked to your suspension to isolate the cause as GM doesn't know where it comes from either.
