Pop then nada!

When accelerating from stoplight van made pop noise(didn't sound like backfire), then began to stumble and quit running. Seemed like it wanted to start but couldn't. Engine turns over, distributor is turning, dont smell fuel. I am physically unable to get under vehicle, or into much of the engine compartment /doghouse. Unable to pull plug wire to check spark. Van is a handicap conversion w/wheelchair lift and some of the wiring has been changed. Any suggestions You could make would be greatly appreciated.

I should probably mention that I am getting a P0505 code on my code reader, sorry it slipped my mind when I first started to write this.
