1989 Pontiac Trans Am V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

put a new fuel pump in the car and theres no power to the plug. how do i fix it

[Check and test the computer controlled of the fuel pump relay/ ok how do i test the relay it new too. but i jumped across the fuelp/ oil pump switch and got power ! so what would be the next check thanks redboy66

You will have power for 2secs before the fuel pump relay de-energizes-you lose power here during cranking the oil pressure switch powers the fuel pump when oil pressure is above 4psi-Check/Test/Replace the oil pressure switch.

hey thanks alot for ur help working great, but one more question for ya . have the car running but runs rough . new plugs rotorbud and cap wires. what could it be now. could it be the maf switch

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens. This can be a bear to find.
