2003 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Automatic 64,230 miles

Ok so I got into a crash not to long ago and my whole front part of the car was bent inward as in totally damaged from the front only. How much do you think it would cost to repair the front so far I have been able to rebuilt the frame but need to put in a new transmission, battery and some other parts. If you could please guide me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. thanks! did you not have insurance? that car is totaled, it really isn't worth fixing. these cars have unibodies, they dont have regular frames like older cars had. even if you did get it pulled pretty straight it will still most likely cause tire wear issues down the road.. aside from straightening the front, you would need (from what i can tell) new headlights, radiator, reinforcement bumper, bumper cover, fender or 2, possible suspension and steering components, new hood, possible wiring and other little things under the hood. This car is totaled, you would literally being paying more to have this fixed than what the car books for..

yeah I did have insurance but only liability and the other person was at fault but is giving me the run around. So even thou I have already rebuilt the frame. I should stop investing in repairing it ?

ultimately that is up to you. the retail on this vehicle with that mileage and now with having a rebuilt title, it's only going to retail around $3,000, that is also assuming it is the top model with all power options etc... are you doing the work yourself or having a shop do it? if a shop was to fix all of that it will easily be a few thousand dollars, will be hundreds of dollars alone just in repainting the new body parts.

ohhhh ok well it was my baby sooo im kinda having difficulty letting go of it. I don't want to sell it I want it back how it was. I am having a close friend do it for me so he kinda charges a little cheaper. Ok well if you honestly think i should get another car I will do it because i don't want to spend half of what i payed for it in repairs alone.

if it wasn't your fault and if you have a temporary ride, i wouldn't let the at fault driver go without a fight. get a lawyer and get your insurance money you deserve, than you would only be out a small fee to the lawer compared to a very large repair bill or a very large bill for a new vehicle.
