1998 Pontiac Sunfire just stopped working

Hi Laura.. there is a couple of things you can check before you have to go to a mechanic.do this when the eng is off. unplug the plug at the ac compressor.plug it back in. try the a/c now still not working.turn car off. under the hood up near the back of the hood you will see a shiny aluminum canister. there is a plug here on the tank unplug it plug it back in. start car check a/ c. if no avail check all fuses.. if all good you will need someone qualified to check the refrigerant in the system.. hope this helps. if i can help please write back billymac
