how do I reset the timing chain tensioner?

Is this motor the quad four model? also are you currently replacing the timing chain? if the answers are both yes. the tensioner is reset by pushing down on the tensioner cam/spring assembly, it will click and pop outward and then it will automaticlly set to the right tension, when you get the tensioner assembly from the parts store, there is a plasic spacer that prevents it from being engaged accidentlly that you need to remove after the chain is installed correctlly. then just push down...
