I have a sunfire that had a starter that was spinning but when it did start it ran great...we replaced the starter and it turns over the engine but it wont fire...

Welcome to the forum, if the cranking rpms are good, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. How is the fuel pressure?
