1997 Pontiac Sunfire gas in oil

i am finding gas in my oil i found this out because i could see my gas gauge dropping fairly fast and the car will sputter in short quick bursts every 5 sec or so also i could not find any fuel leaks could this be a computer problem?{had computer flashed because engine light would not shut off} or could it be an injector problem????? thanx!!!

Hi there,

I would pull the spark plugs and look for a very dirty, sooty spark plug, this will indicate a leaking injector the fuel is running down the bore past the rings and washing the protective oil from the bore , this will cause rapid ring deterioration so act quickly, if you find one faulty injector it would be wise to have all injectors serviced or replaced as a group.
