Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Pontiac Sunbird 4 cyl Automatic 136000 miles
Hey guys,
So I've never been on this site befor but it sounded like you guys really knew your stuff so I figured I'd give it a shot. So here's my problem...
About 2 days ago I was driving my car, went and put a full tank of gas in it and then took it through the car wash upon exiting the car wash my car started having problems excelerating. I couldn't just step on the gas and go I had to take the pedel about half way down and let it run until it finally picked up. It takes about 2 blocks for it to pick up speed but befor it dose it wont go past 20 mph. I am no car junkie and know nothing about my car. When I talked with my dad he thought it might be the coolant, or water in the gas. So we bought some HEAT and put that in and also added some more coolant and I'm still having problems. A friend said I might need to clean the fuel pump...but like I said I know nothing about cars. HELP!
