i have a 1993 pontiac sunbird ignition coil pack. it needs the "pigtail" (as ive heard it called). what i really want to know is what is its official name so i can look up the part

Hello,

The eletrical connection that you speak of is call the ignition coil connector. However, you can just ask for the pigtail at your local auto parts store they will know what you are talking about.
