I noticed today that when I push the gas & try to accelerate while in 5th gear I can only get up to 70 and no matter how hard I push the pedal the speedometer doesn't move past 70. This is a new car to be having this problem. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be the problem? No indicator lights go on, maintenance has been regular, and it doesn't make any weird noises. It runs smooth just feels like it's resisting acceleration.

Appreciate any advice.

Try cleaning the MAF sensor with electronic cleaner...easy to do, will only take you a few minutes.
