I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana 3.4L. The air is not working. It is full of freon with no leaks. The engine does not seem to "bog" down when the air is turned on. I have not gotten under the hood myself to be able to give a better description but if you tell me what I should look for/at I will let you know. It does blow, but no cool air.

Have gauges actually been put on the system to verify pressure? Test light- check for power at the cycling switch (on the receiver/dryer) should have power on both sides if system is fully charged.

If your van has rear A/C there is a line that goes from the front A/C system to the back underneath the driver side seat (under the van) It looks like a high pressure hose connecting to an aluminum line going to the back of the van. This line has caused many problems for all of the GM minivans, and the average price I have been given to replace this line (account leakage) is areound $600. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this seems to be a VERY common problem with these vans.
