The brake lights on both sides stop working after a relatively short time (I've replaced them more than 2x per year). The filament is fine. The base of the bulb is melted/overheated around the point of connection in the bulb socket. The bulb socket appears to be fine. I replaced both of them 6 months ago.
Something is obviously drawing too much amperage, but I don't know where to start looking or how to isolate the problem.
Any ideas?
