2002 Pontiac Montana All Wheel Drive Automatic 191009 miles

the front driver side wheel is squeeking when in drive but when brakeing it stops...do i need to get my front brakes pads changed?

Without pulling the wheel and looking at them to see how much pad is left I would say it is a good place to start looking. I would pull the tire off and look to see how much braking pad is left. If you want and can take a pic so I can see the brake pads and I will tell you. If you have some tools and basic automotive knowlegde you can do this yourself.
