2001 Pontiac Montana sound starts at about 30-40 mph

Head and intake gaskets changed 2 weeks ago.
I just started hearing this sound, at first I thought there was an airplane flying over. The sound starts when you reach about 30-40 mph, it's a steady/smooth sound, as you come to a stop the sound goes down too. Like I said, it sounds very similar to an airplane flying low overhead, maybe some kind of small motor. I've tried rolling down the window to hear it better, but then I can't really hear it.
Any suggestions would be great!

I have the same issue. I have new tires a week before noise. I did a visual inspection with tires off. All seemed normal. Did not make any grinding noises when I rotated front wheels by hand with vehicle up and in neutral.

There are two common things that it could be. The first is a wheel bearing. These make sound related to vehicle speed, generally louder as the speed (and time on them) increases. Sometimes, you can change the sound when you go around corners. The second possibility is a final drive noise. You don't say, but I have a 2002 AWD Montana, and the rear bearing in the rear section of the drive shaft went bad, causing a similar sound.
