1999 Pontiac Montana Why won't my rear tires move when I pu

This morning I cranked my vehicle and put it in drive. The front wheels were okay, but the rear wheels would not turn. When I tried to drive it the rear tires were dragging.

if you applied your parking brake and it was very cold during the night, assuming that you park outdoors, your rear parking brake cable may have froze. this is very common.
