1999 Pontiac Montana fuel pump won't work unless its hot wi

1999 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my fuel pump is brand new and work fine but i have to hot wire it to the battery to make it work the preasure is good the fuse is not blown.is there like a hidden relay somewhere in the wireing harness.thanks for any help
