I changed the stereo in my 91 Lemans 2 door and seem to have caused a wire to the turn signals to become grounded somewhere. I am trying to find out what the colors are for the turn signal wires coming out of the directional switch so I can find the short and repair it. Everytime I turn the signals on the 10 amp fuze for them is blowing. I have replace the switch with a new OEM switch and still have the problem, this leads me to believe that there is a wire grounding somewhere under the dash. None of the wires hooked to the stereo have anything to do with the turn signals. Thank you for your help.

How did you power the radio? If on a light circuit, may cause the problem, Heres the wiring diagram.

I powered the radio from the factory wiring that the old radio was hooked to. I am not using any of the factory wiring other than the power and ground wire, no factory speakers are hooked up to the stereo.

Try grounding right to the dash support, GM radio ground may not work on your aftermarket.
