I have had my transmission replaced twice in last month and a half...my car is still not getting much power. It will not go over 40 mph and every time I drive the car now with the new transmission the car wont get any power and the rpms continue to drop. I took the car to the dealership after the first transmission and it was testing that the transmission was slipping and that was it besides needing back brakes and intake beginning to leak, after the second time of replacing the transmission the same thing is happening and not sure what it is. Someone suggested cataytic converter and I need a second opinion before I spend anymore money

There is a quick test to see if your convertor is plugged. With the engine warm and running and the transmission in park. Quickly floor the throttle and then back off to idle. Do this 2 or 3 times. What you are looking for is the engine holding back or spitting back out the air cleaner intake. Try this and let us know.
