2002 Pontiac Grand Prix Shifts Hard after it warms up

The car starts to shift hard after it warms up. I'll maybe drive it 4 or 5 miles or so and it starts up. The transaxle fluid level is fine when I follow the manuals process of checking it with the car on and going through all the gears. This has been going on for a couple years at least. Sometimes I'll get lucky and it wont, but its rare. The temperature does seem to go up a litte, always above 210 I think when it happens, and no engine light or other lights come on. What could this be and how much to fix it? Is there any possible way I'm just not putting in enough fluid?

Has fluid and filter been changed ? if not that would be the first thing to have done. The fluid breaks down over time and lose hydraulic properties.

Yes, I have changed the fluid and filter and it never helped. Is there anything else I can try?

Does it shift hard into every gear ? any late shift? Maybe speed sensor or shift solenoid. Have you had someone scan trans ?

It does shift hard into every gear. As far as a late shift, I don't believe there is much of a late shift. I haven't had a trans scan yet. Would this be the next best option for me?

Yes will verefy if speed sensor or shift solenoid or TCM and not trans failure

I had a transmission shop look at it and run a trans scan and they said that the computer didn't read anything. They said they have a pretty good feeling that its the speed sensors after they took it for a test drive and felt it shifting hard after it warmed up. They said they could replace them for about $450 total, but that there was a 50/50 chance that it may not fix the problem and then I would have to pay for a complete transmission rebuild on top of that cost. He said it would be best just to rebuild it the first time, but that right now the car is still drivable. Is there any chance of me getting a more straight answer than this as to what the problem really is?
