The car recently got another engine from a salvage yard with about 60000 miles when the original engine locked up. The original engine had 90000 miles. The car had a transmisson flush but no filter/gasket was changed. So the fluid is fresh and the fluid is at proper level. I am starting to notice the transmission is shifting hard in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. It runs fine when its cold but gets worse after it warms up. What could this be? The engine light is on but it was like that before this issue happened. I will be taking it to auto parts store to check the codes tomorrow. From what I am getting from the forums is I need to change the filter first. If this does not fix it, what else could it be?
