It is an intermittant problem but it seems to be getting worse. When I apply the brakes there seems to be a sort of hard pounding under my feet but brake pedal is smooth. The brakes have failed twice. Mechanic connected diagnostic machine, could not fine problem. Husband drove it and it did not do it. Son drove it and it did do it, slid through red light. I also smell a strong smell like electronics burning. When my husband drove it he applied brakes many times and when he got back home you could smell the electronic burning smell but it do not do what it has been doing, my husband state the electronic burning smell is the brake pads but it is not a pad problem or it would not be intermittant.
