My ABS are engagiing at will as if they have amind of their own. Sunny day, low rate of speed (below 25) and they engage when I depress the brake pedal when approacing a stop sign. What could be causing this?

It is very common to solve this problem by replacing the front wheel bearing assemblies. They get a tiny little bit sloppy; nothing out of the ordinary, but enough to affect the wheel speed sensors. Check the metal dumpster at your local GM repair shop. You will see dozens of old bearings in there. Funny thing is, the bearings with the ABS sensors cost much less than the same bearing without the sensor!
