I have just purchased a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. 3.8 L V6. I have always loved the look and performance of this model car. I have a limited budget between paychecks. I would love to repair it to showroom condition! Right now it could use some TLC. The car is still in really good condition, it's mainly mechanical I need done. I would like to do, if I could, most of the easy stuff myself. I was thinking of buying a mechanics book to help. Where do i start?

Hello, some of the national brand autostores may have a manual for you y--m--m.

If your looking for a factory manual, I believe Helms sells them. Might be pricey?

Alldata sells a subscription. I believe for 25 bucks a year, you might check on the price? That's good information. You access over the internet.

If you have a large local library, some of these carry automotive databases, if you live in the county they serve, the info is free. Some of their info, you can access from your home computer, some you can't.

Also, the autozone site has a database, you can click on,(vehicle repair guides) follow the links. They don't have info on every make and model, but, they have a bunch.
