2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Engine revs when idling

When the car is in idle in park, it revs up and down. Then when i take it out of park it dies. it stopped in the middle of driving and at a stop sign. I had to really rev it to get it started out of neutral.

It hasn't had a tune up in a few years.
