I have a 99 Grand Prix and it was working fine yesterday. But today it's stuck in security mode. How do I get the car out of this?

Turn key on security light flashing try to start and let go leave key on security light flasher for about 10 min when it stops turn key off and start car. The key needed to be reprogrammed happy driving after that in some rare cases you may have to do that 3 times total of 30 min

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Heres a guide for you to read

Here is how to reset the security system in your car.

Turn the key to the on position and allow the SECURITY light flashes for 10 minutes. Once the light has stopped flashing turn the ignition off and back on again within 5 seconds and you are all set.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers

Have you done a relearn on the pass-key?
GM PASS LOCK RELEARN- Ignition to "run" position, try to start and let key return to "run" position
Approx ten minutes security light will go off
Turn key "off" and wait 5 seconds
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 relearns.
Turn key off, then start it
