my car just started to make a squeaking and groaning noise when I turn the wheel in either direction. All while driving. (also seems to make noise with the rotation of the front axel) It did this noise for about two days, but the third day I didnt hear anything while driving. My main concern is that the sound the first few days was pretty bad and seemed as if something should be done soon. however then it stopped. what do you think the problem is?

Raise car, put on stands. Grasp tire and push/pull both horizontally and vertically, if any movement then possible wheel bearing, ball joint, tie rod, control arm bushing.

Check CV boots for any signs of leakage or cuts/rips in rubber boot.

Also check fluid level in PS tank. Look for fluid level leaks at PS pressure and return lines and steering rack.
