PUSH RODS

The long rods go to the exhaust and the short one go to the intake.

How should the pushrods be installed on a 1996 Pontiac Prix 3.1, since it has 12 but six of them are one size, and the other six are a different size? So where do each go, where do the shorter ones go and where do the longer ones go?
Also, at how much pressure should the cylinder heads be?

Here is how they go. "¢ The intake pushrods are identified with yellow stripes and are 5 3/4 inches long. "¢ Exhaust pushrods are identified with green stripes and are 6 inches long. When you torque the head on these, you HAVE to use new head bolts every time. These are stretch bolts and cannot be reused.

I still don't understand where it is that each pushrod goes. There are 12 pushord spaces, six on the front and six on the back. So where exactley would the 5.75" and the 6" pushrods go? Is it the all the 6" pushrods in the back or front, and all the 5.75" pushords on front or back? Or is it just one 6", and one 5" and so on?

I just told you. the short ones are the intake and the long ones are the exhaust valves.

At how much pressure should the pushrod lifters be?

There is no pressure measurement on lifters. You really should have someone else doing this. This has the potential for real disaster.
