i just installed a new short air intake system in my car. I also replaced the IAT sensor with a aftermarket one. With the new intake on, and under full throttle, i feels like the car is under alot of stress or load. it shakes alittle bit but not much. it mostly just seems to be under load. its hard to explain. any suggestions on what might be the problem. also looking for cheap engine upgrades for increased throttle response. and acceleration. any suggestions? thanks guys.

So you have less horsepower with the new intake system? Is this a ram air intake or a cold air intake?
Make sure you hooked it up correctly and no components are loose. Also ensure that the air filter is positioned near the front of the vehicle, where it can get plenty of cool, clean air.

Intakes and performance exhaust systems are the two cheapest ways to enhance HP.

yea i got a new exhaust system on it. i removed the resinator and both mufflers, replaced them with glass packs and tips. and the intake is a short air intake. it consist of a coupler, a aluminum pipe and a cone filter. it just seems like it aint recievig enough fuel in the system and too much air. so i put premium fuel in it and see if it helps.

Fueling your vehicle with fuel other than the recommened fuel octane listed in the manual is never a good idea..

If the problem started right after installation of new intake, I would believe it is receiving not enough air flow from the new intake. It should just be a few elec. connectors and some clamps holding the intake on, so how about exchaning the intakes and see if this cures problem?
