The car described above has for the most part been trouble free, however, I can be driving down the road and the lighted digital screen that displays remaining oil life, fuel used, mileage etc. will go dark, then flash on and off, finally staying lighted. At the same time this happens, the transmission goes into what the dealer says is "limp mode". If I pull off the road, turn the ignition off for approx. a minute or so, restart the engine, everything is O.K. Some days it will happen anywhere from one time to several times, then it may not happen for days, weeks, or even months. No dealer I've talked to says they have ever encountered this problem and can't offer any answer for the problem; can you?
I've had this problem for a long time, but consider this overall, one of the best autos I've ever owned, so I live with it.
