I got into my car and no interior lights(dome, door lights) all the dash lights and the DIC are all working. I checked the fuse panel by the glove box. Check the fuse (10amp) and it was blown. Went auto parts place put new fuse in and it blew again. Put another fuse in, blows again. I have no idea of why this would be happening. Currently have the blower motor will only work on 5 and not other settings. Changed the BCM and the DIC says the trunk lid is open and low whiper fluid. It is really aggravating and am stumped. Anyone with any ideas, please and thank you.

I can help with the blower motor. The blower motor resister needs replaced. As far as the other items, if I had to guess, I would say start looking for body ground problems. If there is a bad ground, electricity will take the easiest way out. As a result, crazy symptoms like you have will happen.

Let me know what you find.

Thank you replying..well I found a pinched wire under the dash..pan in the butt to get to. Found a pinched wire by the third brake light which took care of the trunk lid deal. Replaced the ignition switch...still have the blower issue. Bought the car used..and the ying yang had installed an aftermarket alarm system in it and I took it out so the ignition switch wiring was spliced..so I wanted a all in one piece ignition switch and not chopped up. So yes, on to the resistor. :( Investigated it..it's gonna be a pain..but I understand how it comes out and how it goes back together..sucks when you don't have a man around the house..LOL Can't see from the bottom if the resistor is fried or not. Will have to look at it when I take it out, that's next on my to do list lol ..But thank you again for replying

I'm glad to help. Let me know what you find. As far as the alarm, I agree. I don't know why people need to get aftermarket parts then install them in a half hazard way. But that is what most do. Even the shops.

Yes..this is what this ying yang did, he could not get the aftermarket alarm to work..so he goes and replaces the BCM with factory keyless entry and theft deterrant, with a BCM that does not have these features. My interior lights started to just flash off and on one day. Draining my battery, mind you, had to charge my battery every other day. Finally determine that it is the BCM. Go to GM, give them the part number..and it's not even the right part number for the vin number for this car. And in the beginning this all worked..but after awhile, once the car gets to me :( ...it starts to fry the BCM. So, YAY, I get to fix it and put it back the way it was. LOL
