i was trying to change my spark plugs in my 96 grand prix and it got sideways and i turned it a liitle more it only has a couple threads down in the head but i tried to take it out and it is hard did i cross thread it and if so how do i fix it thank you

Yeah, it sounds like you cross threaded it. This is what I did, I removed the plug and then got the plug and socket with an extension and made sure that the plug is at the correct angle be fore I started to thread it by hand. You wont get very far but when you see that is going in at the proper angle go ahead and put your rachet on and start tightening it, it may want to lean toward the cross thread but make sure that it stays at the angle that started with. Or you can retap the threads its up to you.
