1995 Pontiac Grand Prix Window motor

I went to put the window down, and when I pushed the button, the window went down half way then back up, then it started to smoke out the door by the buttons. It smelled like electrical burn, and now the driver window will not work. The passenger is fine. Any ideas on what the problem is or how much it will cost?? I have no air in my car and its hot out so i need my window down!
