Engine Performance problem

My father owns a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix, and he has recently noticed that he has been getting horrible fuel mileage. I calculated that he is getting roughly 6.5 mpg on the highway(30 gallons to travel 192 miles). I'm not a wizard, but I know this car should be doing better than that. The only thing that he has had done to it before this was a fuel pump replacement. It was done at a small shop, so, I am wondering what they could have done wrong to cause this problem, or if there is other issues with this car... ECM? Coil pack? Injectors? Any advice is appreciated.
