I made a silly mistake and I drove my car with the Parking brake without noticing it. The car suddenly started losing potency and the engine start shouting when I press the accelerator pedal. I am able to pull up the car, however I few meters, then, the engine sounds like when you press the accelerator in the Neutral shift. This morning, I realize that all the transmission fluid was lossed. I am just afraid that I completely screw up the transmission. how much it could cost to repair it?.

Hi there,

this is just so hard to answer with out seeing the transmission, i would first have it (the remainder of the oil flushed & the filter changed) and then get an opinion from a transmission specialist, you may be lucky and the lack oil is the only cause for your problem and no permanent damage has been done, start here.

This will be unknown untill you re fill and test, normally a pan gasket, front seal or drive shaft seals are the most common causes, don't second guess, this will need to be inspected.

Hi there,

if just a seal or a pan gasket you will be looking at around $150 maybe, but if an internal issue it will depend on what is wrong, but always get a quote first.
