Car would not start. Turn the key - nothing, not even a click. Tow truck driver arced the starter - car started right up, He suggested checking the Neutral Safety Switch. My search for this switch led me to a shift cable that was bent just enough that the broken casing was not allowing the cable to reach "P" completely. I replaced the cable, but I'm still having problems getting this car to start. turn the key and the engine kind of roars/growls and then stops, this continues for 2 - 4 more times - then it fires right up & runs great until I stop/park it. what next starter? switch adjustment?

Either adjust switch or replace it.
