I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE with a V6 and 101,000 miles. I was wondering how much it should cost to replace the brake pads and rotors, the upper and lower radiator hoses, the thermostat and the upper and lower gaskets. The estimate I got was $2,200 ($450 for the brakes and the rest for the coolant problems.) Although I know extremely little about cars, this seems high. Can you help me by providing a fair estimate?
