How long can it sit?

I'm going to base my answer under the assumption that it's NOT fuel injected...that's how my '85 Bonneville was.

I wouldn't too concerned about how long the motor sat but more so on the prep on starting it for the first time. I would change all of the fluids in the motor/tranny, even drain the fuel and put new gas in it. Expect that the gaskets will leak since they are probably all dried out...but I'm not an expert. Other than that, good luck and let us know what happens!

I have to travel from NC to AL to work on this car. got down there, thought it was close to being able to run. yes alot of stuff had dried out, and then I saw it. Two giant cracks in the Bell Housing. :cry:
