I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with 114,000 miles on it. It is a 4 cylinder. It is making a humming noise. It sounds like it is coming from the front driver's side wheel area. The faster I go, the louder the humming is. When I steer to the right a little the humming is not as loud. I thought it was the tread on the tires so I had them rotated. This did nothing to help the problem. It drives just fine except for the noise. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

You probably nee a new wheel bearing on that side. They tend to growl when they need attention!

I had both front wheel bearing replaced at a Pontiac dealership less than a year ago and less that 15,000 miles ago. Would it have gone bad that early?
