Electrical problem
2003 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Automatic

I have a pontaic Grand AM 2003. I was out cleaning the car and had the key in the ignition in the on possition. It was only on with the radio on for 15min before it just shut off. I took the key out of the ignition put it back in and tried to start the car but it wouldn't. I hooked up battery cables and tried to jump the car. All of the acessory's turn on, as well as the radio, air, heat, everything. I try to start it but it won't even crank over. I tested the battery and it's fine. It seems that there is no power getting to the relay starter switch. Can anybody help fix this please?

Check ign. fuse. Never leave ign. in "on" for extended periods of time, use "assy" if you want to listen to radio.

I checked the fuse and it seems to be fine. I also checked the relay starter switch and that was fine. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

Are you getting a "click" when you turn to start?

If not, check for 12V at solenoid on starter (car on jacks) ign. to start. if nothing, then (assuming relay and fuses are OK) the ign. switch itself.
