Things I would do regarding engine performance tune up:

Fuel filter
Spark plugs-double platinuym- use delco or autolite
Spark plug wires-use premium wires
pcv valve
Air filter

Clean intake valves and throttle plate.


also check for
Coolant flush if not done in last 5 years,
transmission filter if not done in last 36,000
