When we start the car, all of the gauges swing all the way around, and then return to their normal positions, is this a sign of bad things to come?

Also the horn does not work and I would like to disconnect it at the steering column and install a remote horn switch, how do I find the horn wires and not fool with the airbag wires?

Thank you.

i usually find the horn problem is not in the steering column and is actually a faulty horn. i would not worry about the gauge swing thing. my suggestion is to check the battery terminals for tightness, sometimes a loose cable will make gauges go crazy. try checking the horn for power and ground with a test light and get back to us
