Our 99 Grand Am radiator just started to leak. We keeped filling it as needed. Well, while driving and the oil light came on. Shortly after the engine started knocking like there was'nt any oil in the engine. We could'nt pull over because we in a high traffic area with no off road access. The engine then stopped and it smelled like hot burning oil. I then put more coolant in and tried to restart. After a couple tries, it restarted but ran vary rough. I started to replace my radiator today and nocticed that the intake hose to the radiator contained dark thick oil colored water. I checked the oil level and it was full.
I'm hoping that I didn't blow the engine. I haven't started since, because I'm waiting to get this new radiator installed. Please tell me that i'm not S.O.L??
P.S. I also put a heavy duty radiator leak stopping chemical into the coolant before this issue.

Chances are what you are seeing is the stop leak. As far as the engine, was there any knocking or ticking when you started it and it ran rough?
