welcome to the forum, I'd have to backtrack the circuit. The lite blue wire is voltage for the stop lamp. The lite blue wire with black tracer is voltage for the turn signal. Use a testlite to check for voltage. the stop circuit goes hot when you step on the brake. The turn circuit goes hot when you operate the turn signal. If no voltage on the circuit when there should be, that leads back to the left instrument panel junction block. Is your rear lamp assembly a circuit board, maybe something wrong there?

This guide can help you fix it

My dash lights will go out when I start the car. I cannot use the windows or heater or AC. The gauges won't work so I can't tell the mileage or how much fuel I have. The headlights work and the turning signals also. Sometimes they'll all turn on at once but now not at all.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect ignition switch 6-pin connectors C1 and C2. See Fig. 2 . Using DVOM, check for continuity between specified terminals with ignition switch in specified position. See IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (CAVALIER & SUNFIRE) table or IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST (ALERO & GRAND AM) . If continuity does not exist as indicated, repair as necessary.

the turn signals(front, rear, right and left) in my car won't work. What part do I need to replace. My brake lights, headlights and hazards are still functional. I'm hoping it's just a simple fuse issue but I would like some advice before I go digging around in the car. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

If it was as simple as "what part do I need", we wouldn't need mechanics to diagnose the causes of problems. If you suspect a blown fuse, you have to check the fuses, both inside the car and under the hood. I never approve of replacing random parts as a means of diagnosing a problem when it means buying the part that can't be returned, but if you have a spare flasher laying around, (or you can find one in a salvage yard), that would probably be the logical place to start. This can be caused by a defective turn signal switch too, but most of what can go wrong inside them will affect the signals on only one side of the car.

I was hoping you could tell me how to fix my turn signals. They do not work, my brake lights work fine but if I turn my turn signal on then that side of the car brake light dont work. They person I bought it from said it was either a fuse or the bulbs. could this be true or does it sound more like an electrical problem?

Thanks

Hi, any fuses you checked, did you use a testlite on the fuse circuit? Even if the fuse is good, if no voltage, the circuit is dead. Usually the problem is the multifunction switch in the steering column, it doesn't hurt to check voltage.

Any fuses you check, you need to check for voltage on the fuse circuit. Even if the fuse is good, if there is no voltage the circuit is dead. The fuse usually has a bare spot over each leg, you don't have to pull the fuse. The circuit goes hot with the key on, if both bare spots are hot, the turn fuse is good and the circuit has voltage. Use a voltage tester. I believe there is more than one flasher and I don't know which one you replaced? If everything checks out and the emergency lites flash and brake lites work. Check the multifunction switch.

courtesy lights most likely. Does everything else work? Have you checked for power to the blinker switch?
