My brake light and my ABS light have been on for a couple weeks, i cant afford to fix it. Just out of curiosity I went poking at the front brake pads. They are not new but still probably have a couple months on them. I turned the car on and the ABS and brake light did not come on... For about 30 Seconds until I backed it out of the driveway and they both turned back on. This has never happened before. Could this be a coincidence?

If the brake warning light also comes on and remains on while the ABS warning light is on, it signals a serious problem. Your vehicle may not be safe to drive. The brakes and ABS system should be inspected immediately to determine the nature of the problem
