Hi. I need your advice on this problem. I've had a leak coming from the bottom on the car on the passenger side, maybe the radiator for a while. The anti-freeze leaks out whenever I fill it and if I put water in there it leaks out too but only when the car is turned off. There's no overheating. My check engine light came on last night so I took it to be diagnosed this morning and was told that I need a water pump and timing gasket belt because both are leaking. What is a timing gasket belt and which of these should I have fixed first because I can't afford to do both at once. The estimate i was given for both together was around $1000. Does this seem right/fair?

If they are replacing the timming belt, water pump and timming cover gasket, it's still a wee bit high!
