My daughter states the car dies after at random, sometimes after 10 or 15 miles when it's hot. She says the car will start right back up go a little ways and do it again. Whenever I drive it I cannot reproduce the problem. There are no codes. Recently replaced the cooling fan relay & temp sensor due to codes (P0118 & P0480). Suggestions where to start ??

Please understand that without a check engine light, this becomes a guessing game. What I would recommend is to start with checking fuel pressure. If it drops, it won't set the light. Here is a how to for checking. Let me know what you find.

*I appreciate the quick reply. This may take a few days to check. There is no port to hook up a guage on the fuel rail for this model, so I'll have to tap in somewhere else. It also bothers me it hasn't stalled for 2 weeks now, but I know it will sooner or later. I'll get back with you on this. Thank you.

Are you sure there is no schrader valve on the fuel rail? In 97, I thought they had one.

Regardless, let me know.

Joe, I just checked again. The fuel line comes in on the drivers side through the fuel rail to the regulator on passenger side. Out the bottom of the regulator back to the tank. No valve, stem or port anywhere.

Interesting... The only thing you can do is ask for an adapter to place in the fuel line itself.

Well, don't have to worry about it now. front tire blew out at 45mph hit a 10" curb, took out a speed limit sign. Front end damage, 3 tires shot, hood, front fender, front cover and suspension damage. Thanks for the input anyway.
